Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house having a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results nsfas 2025 to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
